INTI International College co-organised the AppAsia Mobile Challenge 2015 recently on 26 October 2015, which is a competition that requires students to use their knowledge, ingenuity and creativity to come up with original mobile applications. It is an excellent platform for the students to showcase their creative concept and innovative ideas and to contribute a useful mobile application to mobile users.
The Challenge was jointly launched by INTI International College Dean for UOW Programme Dr Jane Lim, Executive Director of AppAsia Bhd Calvert Wong and Chief Technology Officer of AppAsia Bhd Joekie Thong.
Executive Dean Chris Cook visits Beijing Jiatong University (BJTU) with whom UOW has a Mechatronic Engineering program with. Professor Xinhua Deng was on hand, former Endeavour Scholar to UOW, to greet Professor Cook, as was the international manager J.J. and other teaching and research staff. Thank you BJTU for hosting Chris, we are so glad that he got an opportunity to meet the students and staff again post the launch of our joint program.
What a wonderful reception for Honorary Associate Professor MG Michael at INTI Penang in Malaysia. Students listened to a guest lecture from MG Michael and also about coming to UOW main campus in Wollongong to study their final year Bachelors or continuing study in a range of Masters programs.
Over 180 students were present to listen to the importance of transnational collaborations between UOW and TJPU in Tianjin.
It was great to see so many female engineering candidates in the auditorium.
Katina spoke on the importance of:
(1) practising English language (written and oral)
(2) mixing with domestic students and other international students at Wollongong University, outside immediate culture
(3) taking advantage of the natural setting of Wollongong among hills, mountains, pristine beaches, rainforests, and more.
