We recently celebrated Buddhima's award from RTSA (The Railway Technical Society of Australasia) for his outstanding contribution to Australian Railway Engineering. The Hon. Andrew Constance, Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, presented the award to Buddhima at the RTSA Annual Dinner at the NSW Parliament House. You can see Buddhima's group of support at the award ceremony below (also supported Buddhima but not in this photo were his wife Manori, Prof Chris Cook and Prof Tim Marchant). Providing additional support to the "heavy metal" award is our long-time supporter from the Railway Industry Mr David Christie. Dr Ana Heitor together with Mr Gary Kennedy and Mr Greg Klamus (EIS industry advisory board representatives) have been awarded the Australian College of Educators Recognition Award for their contributions to Teaching and Learning. The award will be delivered on the celebrations of the World Teachers day in October.
The award was given in recognition of their high-quality contributions to the development of the new subject on construction management (CIVL 458 – Fundamentals of Construction Management). The assessment panel commended the team on their impact to education quality.
This outcome also recognises the school efforts to provide excellent teaching and learning environment to CME students.
