Justine Calleja and team Awarded Smart and Skilled Funding

Justine Calleja and her team were awarded Smart and Skilled Funding ($156,000) to deliver an Underground Coal Induction to 100 students. This induction will give UOW students an enormous advantage over other mining engineering students in getting work experience and graduate jobs.

Coal Services Southern Mines Rescue Station will deliver the training. Securing this funding is an important milestone in developing a strategic partnership with SMRS which will increase opportunities for us to benefit from their first class mining training facilities and contribute to successfully delivering our Strategic Planning Outcomes.
