Abstract: Internet Plus is a concept proposed by China's prime minister Li Keqiang in 2015. He made it the national strategy in his Government Work Report presented to the National People's Congress. "Internet plus" is to address economic challenges and to keep pace with the Information Trend. It is on the list of significant economic keywords in China.
Internet Plus can be extended to various areas such as "Internet+Manufacturing Industry", traditional manufacturing enterprises adopting ICT to reform the existing mode of production through automation and data analysis; "Internet+Finance", applying internet technology to financial services; "Internet+Medical System", optimising the treatment for patients; "Internet+Government" implementing digital government and online public services; and "Internet+Agriculture".
This talk from A/Prof Xu will provide a few examples of Internet Plus initiatives in China. Collaborators are more than welcome!
Best regards Jun
