The Association of Iron and Steel Technologists (AIST), an international society with more than 16 000 members, founded the John F Elliott Lecture in honour of the late MIT Professor John F Elliott.
A high-flying individual is annually given the honour of presenting a Lecture in his/her area of expertise around Universities in the USA. The lecture series is sponsored by AIST.
This year Prof Chris Pistorius from Carnegie Mellon University was selected to present this prestigious lecture series not only in the USA, but also in Australia - at the University of Wollongong on 18 October and at RMIT 21 October.
Chris will be talking about inclusion engineering, a topic that should be of interest to most engineers.
