Presenter: Kalpit Patne, Associate Fellow, SMART Infrastructure Facility
Date and time: 10.30am, Friday, 8th July 2016
Location: SMART Infrastructure Facility, Building 6, Room 209

Kalpit Patne is a final year undergraduate student in the department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He hails from the Nagpur city which is in the central part of India. He has worked on the development of game theory based approaches for solving supply chain management decisions. For past two months, he has been working with Dr Nagesh Shukla and Dr Senevi Kiridena on closed supply chain management issues. In particular, he is working on a closed-loop supply chain model to address challenges such as retailer facility locations, customer zone allocation, optimal inventory and pricing decisions using a novel modification of the traditional evolutionary algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimisation.
